- What is Club soccer?
It’s soccer for more committed athletes that want to become more competetive in soccer. It requires a tryout and is not for someone who has never played soccer before.
- How old does my child have to be to play club soccer?
Our club program begins at U8 and goes up to U15. This means that your child would need to be at least 6 or 7 to tryout for club.
- When is the registration period?
Registration for club begins before the rec season so that any players who do not make a club team can then register for Rec. You will register for Club before the tryout date. A coach will contact you after tryouts letting you know if you made the team or need to sign up for rec.
- What is included in the registration fee?
The registration fee for Club is $100 and this covers the league fee and upkeep fee. There is an additional uniform cost and tournament fees. Club teams attend 1 or more tournaments per season, determined by each group. Some teams do fundraising to help minimize costs.
- How can I register my child?
You will register your child by following the club link and going through the sign up process, if your child does not make the team you will not be charged the club registration fee and are welcome to sign your child up for our recreational program.
- Where are Club games played?
CJFC Club teams play in the MSSL (Midwest select soccer league), which is hosted by the Joplin Athletic Complex located at 3301 W 1st St, Joplin, MO 64801.
- What paperwork do I need to register my child to play soccer?
For club registration you will need a picture of your child’s birth certificate. This is different than Rec, because to participate in a competitive league and tournaments requires verification of your child’s age.
